Grieves & Budo tonight!
Ampersand - Kithkin
If you’re from Seattle you should definitely check out this band. This is one of their newer songs from their new EP, Takers & Leavers, and it’s ridiculously good.

Casey Jones tonight at Studio Seven. Who else is coming?
Just got home from walking my dogs, and the laces of my boots are now frozen solid.
Bright Eyes performing ” A Spindle, A Darkness, A Fever, And A Necklace” live in Seattle in 2006, while Conor was still a baby.
The best part is at 3:51 when some people start talking in the crowd and Conor gives them a death glare till the end of the song.
I finally got to see Bright Eyes on Wednesday at The Paramount. I went with Chris and my friend Johnny. I’ve waited for five years to see Bright Eyes preform live. I still really can’t describe the feeling I got being able to watch them live. I got in line around five and I still got front row. Chris bought us floor tickets. I was literally five or six feet away from Conor Oberst. There was the barricade, a girl in front of me that was shorter than me and I was right behind her. I was dead straight in front of Conor and I could see perfectly. I couldn’t ask for a better view of the show. The set list included a bunch of older and newer songs which I loved all of them. When Conor started to play Poison Oak, I couldn’t handle it. That song means so much to me. I started to cry, and I don’t care if that sounds lame. Being able to see Conor preform that song live makes me certain that as soon as I turn 18 next year I’m getting ” And I never thought this life was possible, your the yellow bird that I’ve been waiting for.” It just gives it more meaning to why I’m getting it done. It still is weird to me that I can now say I’ve seen Bright Eyes live. I’ve been listening to Bright Eyes since I was in the 7th grade. It’s been something I’ve always wanted to do. I still honestly can’t believe it. I also cried a little bit during Land Locked Blues. During both Poison Oak and Land Locked Blues, the whole crowd got quiet and sang along. There was such a heavy connection and appreciation, it was surreal. The whole night was surreal. I also didn’t know how much of a rockstar Conor is. I thought the whole show he was just going to stand and play guitar or piano, but he would go crazy. I loved it. He would jump around and dance like crazy and tease everyone in the crowd by lifting his shirt up or getting really close to the stage and leaning in. What a tease. A few times he jumped off the stage and came to the crowd which everyone loved. During the last song he even jumped into the crowd. You gotta love that guy. Johnny told me he was going to do that so I got my camera ready and took a picture. Wednesday night’s show was the last show on the tour so it ended with a big bang. All of them all had customize Mike Mogis shirts. I thought that was super funny and cool. Gosh, I still can’t believe it.
